Amazing! I dug and dug for information from my niece about what she wanted for Christmas. It was coming down to the last minute when her dad told me that he had noticed she was interested in horses. Since it's so close to Christmas I was desperate to find something so I quickly did an Amazon.com search for 'horses' and found this book. I didn't know what to expect but I was desperate and the price was right so I bought it. It arrived right on time and I was so pleasantly surprised I could have squealed! I would have paid twice what I paid for this book had I known how high the quality was. I love horses too so I spent a lot of the time I had allotted myself for wrapping to browse through it and it was hard to put down. The photos are absolutely gorgeous. The paper is very high quality and the size is big enough to be considered a coffee table book. Just a couple of days ago I had no clue what to get for my niece and now I am thrilled to know I'll be giving her what is sure to be a treasured book for her library for years to come. I would give this six stars if I could!

There are six sections in the book Running with the herd, The spirtual horse, The physical horse, colors and markings, young horses, and conclusions.I was expecting a book that would include the different breeds, instead the breeds are scattered throughout the book and not in any one section.The pictures are nice as one reviewer stated, they are touched up.There's some good information about horses in general. The book is printed in China (for those of you that care) and it does have a strong ink/glue smell to it when turning the pages as though it was just put together.Overall it's an okay book. I won't send it back, but as another reviewer mentioned, it's a good coffee table book.

Having practically grown on the back of a horse, I am delighted. Unfortunately for me, the book is a birthday gift to my niece. She has a horse that she finagled to bring with her to her university. Like me, she has loved horses all her life. I feel sure she will be wowed!

This is a good "coffee table book", especially if there is a horse lover in the house. I purchased this as a gift, and it was greatly appreciated by my horse lover friend. It is beautifully illustrated...a book someone would enjoy browsing through from time to time when relaxing. A good purchase!

I can't even put it into words on how beautiful and outstanding this book is. The history of the horses is amazing. I thought I was in school learning about horses. The history has been told well of these horses. Honestly, I have learn so much about horses. The pictures are incredible and I do mean incredible. You will be proud to have this book as a part of your library.

I bought this for my two year old brother. He loves horses and he spends everyday with a significant amount of time with this book. The photography is gorgeous and he is amazed at the different breeds (ever since he discovered the Shire Horse he is determined to collect all Shire horse models ).

I have owned several similar books on the picture of horses, and I have only three words to described it: IT IS GORGEOUS!.(although I will be happier if there are more information included in this book, but anyway this book is just pure beauty!)

Excellent reading for anyone who loves horses. Reading for all ages.

The pictures used in the kindle version are so low resolution that they are unviewable and unreadable. I'm only three chapters in, but I was compelled to write this review because a screenshot of an email was used as an example of an origin story, but I am unable to read the example. Kindle books are commonly read on high-res devices these days, and the images used in kindle books should be optimized for such devices.I have to give the Kindle version one star because of this oversight, otherwise The User's Journey would be at least 4/5, maybe even 5/5 when I finish.

The book is easy to read and the content is extremely useful. There are a lot of books out there that look at narrative and story, some more complex, some less - this one is all about applying ideas in practical ways. Its valuable stuff, and its very accessible.

This book came to me at the perfect time. I’m working on a new product that seemingly has no boundaries but reading through this book and starting to apply concept, origin and usage stories to my thinking has helped me to shape, and more importantly, share the overall story of what the product is.Written with a light touch and imbued with humour, this is both a fun and productive read.Wish she would visit NZ!

Awesome book. It provides three story frameworks to test your business and optimize for user experience and branding. At least that's what I took from it. I highly recommend this book to entrepreneurs, branding peeps, ux designers or copywriters.

This is a very good book that underlines the basics we must have on marketing your business your product or yourself. Telling good stories is hard when you need to structure it. This book gives the structure in a basic form you can leverage. The only thing I wish I could see in this book is more examples. A workbook would help as well. At the end, I definitely recommend anyone doing anything that needs a story behind and be sure you need stories to make it communicate.

Donna Lichaw wrote both an informative and readable book. It is funny. It is well written. It fully covers the topic at hand -- storymapping. The author references everything from "Breaking Bad" to Daniel Kahneman, taking readers on a journey from theory to technique. You learn how to create better products and services. Going deeper, the book describes how story shapes perception, engagement, and ultimately the relationship between you and your audience.

This book was fantastic. I've been a UX Professional for the last 10 years and always looking for solid frameworks to approach design challenges. Donna provides such a distilled, easy to follow framework for mapping the facets of an experience I knew were important. After reading this book and understanding how to apply the story framework to product design, I'm excited and inspired to get to work.

The User's Journey offers an addictively pragmatic method for viewing experiences through the lens of storytelling. Once I finished it, I immediately mapped out my current project workflow and found a cliffhanger! I reworked the end of the experience and usability tests showed improved results. I also started mentally mapping out my shopping experience, family holidays, breakfast cereal....like I said, addictive.
