Wow, real opener. Dan made me realize what I was doing wrong and more importantly how to fix it. Last year I kind of felt proud of myself as I hired a “copywriter†for one of my landing pages and I was convinced she was doing a good job (after all she had a master and what not..) Well, she was a good writer and editor but not a good copywriter. So to sum up- my old copy sucked. I just followed a few strategies I picked up from this book and re-wrote a few things myself and wow. Better conversions. I am really excited for what is yet to come as I am not 100% finished with my copy. Plus…even if I hire a freelance copywriter, thanks to Dan’s t teachings I will know whether they do a good job or not. Some food for thought. Added to my “build your marketing muscles†kindle collection.
Sifu, I honestly believe this book is superior to Triggers from Joe Sugarman.The way you explained the triggers made them easy to remember.And I loved the stories as well.Thank you Sifu an awesome book for any Marketer or Copywriter.I will be rereading the book many times to apply more and more of the triggers.
I purchased this book after a recommendation from a colleague. I had my suspicions that this book might not be for me based off of the "clickbait" title that is has, similar to a YouTube video that will say anything in the title for views. I was initially going to give this book a 1 star as there wasn't much content for someone who is experienced in sales and marketing, but I decided to give it a 2 instead because a lot of the information was still good, just nothing that you wouldn't hear from any other sales book. The author keeps talking about websites in almost all of his "forbidden" tactics like this book was specifically meant to teach about internet marketing. I actually took another look at the book description to make sure that I didn't look over the fact that this was meant for web marketing but it was not. In short this book has some decent advice for people that are VERY green in sales and marketing, but if you are a veteran of the craft, this book will offer nothing but snake oil and a guy talking about himself for 3 hours.
I really enjoyed the concrete advice given in this book that can be implemented right away. Having been in sales for almost 20 years this book brought home alot of my experience and reinforced what we live thru daily in saling. Loved reading it and applying the tatics. The book gave me the confidence and conviction that was resting domant in me.
Although I've been in sales for over forty years, it's always good to be reminded of the basics. This book is an easy, short read with information that sticks! I highly recommend it!
Excellent Material, Dan really gets into the meat and potatoes of each tactic, how and why they work, and how to apply them. By implementing these strategies I gained two new customers within a day. Thing about that is, I only had to use the first three tactics before that happened.
